    • Our Mission

The Learning Exchange is a centre for excellence providing all teachers access to a wide range of high quality resources, research and programs developed to support innovation and teacher learning in today’s world.

The aims of the Learning Exchange are to:

      • promote and demonstrate quality teaching by providing teachers with access to high quality resources, both virtual and physical, targeted at improvement at class, school and system level
      • provide quality mentoring of teachers through the Leading Educator program
      • provide ongoing professional learning to teachers including support of the system’s early career teacher programs and system leadership program
      • assist more experienced teachers to achieve voluntary accreditation at professional accomplishment and/or professional leadership levels and support a range of professional learning communities (PLCs) connecting teachers across the system in support of quality teaching.
    • Our Facilities

The Learning Exchange is equipped with high-end technology where modelled teaching can be viewed, captured and stored for sharing with others.

A number of spaces support quality teaching. These include a modern library facility with a range of technologies for schools to utilise, a multimedia production suite and a ‘model’ learning environment where teachers can work with colleagues on teaching strategies. Two other learning exchange hub schools and the global community are also connected via state of the art video conferencing. The exchange also operates a research unit and connects with the Jarara indigenous support unit.
